राजभवन में शपथ लेने के बाद मुख्यमंत्री ने मंत्रालय में मंत्री समूह की बैठक की और विकास के कामों की समीक्षा की। इसके बाद उन्होंने अधिकारियों के साथ चर्चा की और विकास के काम में तेजी लाने का निर्देश दिए। मुख्यमंत्री मंत्रालय में स्थित मंत्रालय एवं विधिमंडल वार्ताहर (पत्रकार) संघ के कार्यालय में आकर पत्रकारों से मुलाकात की। मौके पर उपमुख्यमंत्री देवेन्द्र फडणवीस और केन्द्रीय मंत्री नारायण राणे उपस्थित थे।
मुख्यमंत्री शिंदे ने कहा, “मुझे मुख्यमंत्री पद के माध्यम से लोगों की सेवा करने का अवसर मिला है और मैं सभी का विश्वास टूटे बिना आगे बढ़ूंगा।” मुख्यमंत्री ने यह भी कहा कि सरकार राज्य के सभी हिस्सों जैसे कोंकण, पश्चिमी महाराष्ट्र, विदर्भ, मराठवाड़ा और खानदेश के विकास के लिए कटिबद्ध है। मुख्यमंत्री शिंदे ने कहा कि हिंदुत्व की भूमिका और राज्य के विकास पर हिंदू हृदय सम्राट बालासाहेब ठाकरे की भूमिका के आधार पर राज्य के विकास के लिए वे काम करेंगे। उन्होंने कहा कि कैबिनेट की बैठक में फसल-पानी, मेट्रो परियोजना आदि मुद्दों पर चर्चा हुई है। समृद्धि हाइवे को राज्य की गेम चेंजर परियोजना बताते हुए उन्होंने कहा कि देवेंद्र फडणवीस के मुख्यमंत्री रहते शुरू किए गए जनहित कार्यों को आगे बढ़ाया जाएगा।
उपमुख्यमंत्री देवेंद्र फडणवीस ने कहा कि मुख्यमंत्री एकनाथ शिंदे के नेतृत्व में कार्य को दोगुनी गति से किया जाएगा। मंत्रालय विधिमंडल वार्ताहर (पत्रकार) संघ के अध्यक्ष मंदार पारकर, उपाध्यक्ष महेश पावस्कर, सचिव प्रमोद दोईफोडे ने मुख्यमंत्री और उपमुख्यमंत्री का शॉल तथा फूल देकर स्वागत किया।
