हैदराबाद: भारत के सबसे बड़े लौह अयस्क उत्पादक, एनएमडीसी ने भारत सरकार की आजादी का अमृत महोत्सव पहल के अनुरूप हर घर तिरंगा अभियान शुरू किया। खनन प्रमुख ने महावीर चक्र से सम्मानित कर्नल बी संतोष बाबू द्वारा गलवान घाटी में देश के लिए दिए गए बलिदान को श्रद्धांजलि अर्पित करके साहस को सम्मानित किया।
एनएमडीसी ने इस अवसर पर कर्नल बी संतोष बाबू के माता-पिता – श्रीमती मंजुला और श्री बिक्कुमल्ला उपेंदर को सम्मानित अतिथि के रूप में आमंत्रित किया।
हर घर तिरंगा के तत्वावधान में, सम्मानित अतिथियों ने एनएमडीसी के सीएमडी श्री सुमित देब को राष्ट्रीय ध्वज सौंपा और श्री सुमित देव ने उन्हें तिरंगा सौंपकर सम्मान व्यक्त किया। श्री सुमित देब ने एनएमडीसी के निदेशक (वित्त) श्री अमिताभ मुखर्जी और सीवीओ श्री बी विश्वनाथ (आईआरएसएस) के साथ कंपनी के वरिष्ठ अधिकारियों को राष्ट्रीय ध्वज सौंपा और सभी को 13 से 15 अगस्त, 2022 के दौरान अपने घरों पर तिरंगा फहराने के लिए प्रोत्साहित किया।
अपने संबोधन श्रीमती मंजुला ने अपने बेटे की वीरता और साहस की कहानियों को साझा करते हुए कहा, “मैंने अपने बेटे को राष्ट्र की सर्वोच्च सेवा के लिए तैयार किया। उनकी सेवा के दौरान, जब मैं उनके और उनके परिवार के लिए चिंता व्यक्त करती थी, तो बाबू हमेशा कहते थे कि ‘राष्ट्र प्रथम’ है।“ इसी प्रकार श्री बिकुमल्ला उपेन्द्र ने कहा, “मेरा बेटा एक असाधारण अधिकारी था।
उनको यह सम्मान मृत्युपर्यंत राष्ट्र की सेवा करने की उनकी भावना से मिला है और यह भावना को हमारे देश के युवाओं में अवश्य होनी चाहिए।“
इस अवसर पर श्री सुमित देब ने कहा, “अमर जवान कर्नल बी संतोष बाबू के परिवार के साथ हर घर तिरंगा कार्यक्रम मनाना एनएमडीसी के लिए सम्मान की बात है । उन्होंने हमारे तिरंगे के लिए अपने प्राणों की आहुति दे दी। खनिज भवन में प्रतिदिन हमारा राष्ट्रीय ध्वज फहराया जाता है।
